Family law matters can be difficult to deal with and are often emotionally charged. For those clients wishing to take a more cooperative approach to handling their divorce and related family law issues, our firm offers representation in an emerging area of law called Collaborative Law.

Collaborative law is a dispute resolution process through which an agreement is reached by compromise and negotiation between the parties. Throughout the collaborative process, the spouses and their attorneys, and any other professionals working with the family, agree to resolve all issues of their case together without any controversial and emotionally-charged court proceedings. The attorneys for both sides agree to withdraw from the representation if the parties opt for litigation. The decisions made and agreements created are designed to be considerate of and realistic for the entire family.

Both parties contribute ideas and suggestions throughout the process of crafting agreements that address issues such as:
